Musicians love to play there as much as audiences love to listen! It's the legendary Ryman Auditorium of which we speak! It comes as no big surprise then that the website Citysearch has voted The Ryman Nashville's "best live music venue." This honor comes at an auspicious moment, just in time for The Grand Ole Opry's third annual pilgrimage to its ancestral home! The venue actually housed the Opry for many years before the show expanded well beyond The Ryman's seating capacity, and eventually moved to Opryland in 1974. Through the years, just about everyone who matters in musical history has played the Ryman at one time or another!

As part of this year's commemorative 75th anniversary events, the Opry's organizers have scheduled special performances by some of country's biggest stars at the Ryman. Over the coming weeks (through February), famed artists and Opry members including Bill Anderson, Joe Diffie, Vince Gill, Ricky Skaggs, Connie Smith, Travis Tritt, Steve Wariner, Clay Davidson, Andy Griggs, and Darryl Worley are all scheduled to appear in the more intimate venue.

This is a limited time only special event. Don't miss it! Show times are Friday at 7:30 and Saturday at 6:30 and 9:30. Tickets are $25. for adults and $15. for children. Call 615-889-3060 or order online at / Issue 12 - September 6973
