The Nashville New Music Conference (2NMC) was formed by founders Jeff Fellers, David Hooper and Jim Stamper, to empower and educate independent musicians both within and beyond the Nashville city limits with traditional and innovative opportunities. It was designed to promote the rich talent and booming music industry that Nashville has available to performers and music industry professionals worldwide.

The conference is dedicated to creating an opportunity for those who seek a chance to be seen, heard, and make a living from the music they love. It will educate, encourage and empower talented and driven individuals, and help them to recognize and open the doors of opportunity they need.

The conference is aimed at a mixture of established independent musicians, new and emerging acts, and established national artists with new material. This will give music fans the opportunity to experience an event that is fresh, exciting, and something a breed apart from other music conferences.

Daytime events will range from a public kick-off and charity auction, to technology forums for musicians, music business education panels and workshops, songwriting seminars, and most importantly, a Dishmag sponsored panel that will tell-all, in one place, about what to do when and to who and how, to make it in the music industry.

In its first year, The 2001 edition of the Nashville New Music Conference will take place October 10th through 14th at the Ramada Inn and Conference Center in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee, a city known throughout the World as "Music City, USA." Whether your music goal is to make more money as an independent musician or you're interested in getting a major label contract, the Nashville New Music Conference will be of benefit both musicians and industry professionals with five nights and four days of events including panels, mentor sessions (including keynote speaker Pat DiNizio of the Smithereens), a trade show, nightly networking parties, and demo listening/pitch sessions.

Attendance at the conference costs $ 150.00. For more information, or to register, go to or call 615 269 5454. / Issue 19 - September 2018
