Country Music's biggest event, the annual Fan Fair was very exciting this year, held for the first time in downtown Nashville. The stars turned out for the event, including Brooks and Dunn, Gary Allan, Tracy Byrd, Alan Jackson, Patty Loveless, Martina McBride, Eric Heatherly, Terri Clark, Pam Tillis, Jamie O'Neal, South 65 and many more Dishmag favorites. As if that was not enough, NBC pitched in by sending some of our favorite daytime soap stars to join in on the festivities. Peter Reckell and Melissa Reeves from "Days of Our Lives", and Lindsay Korman, Travis Schuildt, Dana Sparks, James Hyde and McKenzie Westmore from "Passions" were very much in evidence, helping with MC duties for the nighttime concert line-ups at the Titans Adelphia Coleseum, to signing autographs at their Fan Fair booth.

As CMA executive Director Ed Benson said, "The all-new Fan Fair is fast becoming Nashville's premier musical event. We are striving to add elements that will appeal to Nashvillians and their families- like Fan Fair Carnival and National Barbecue Championship Cook-Off." Stay tuned for further information about next year's Fan Fair event...and for more news about the nominees for this year's CMA Awards top honors.. / Issue 21 - September 2018
