In case you missed the commotion, Tinseltown just invaded the Music City.

The fifth Annual Nashville Screenwriters Conference recently wrapped after its three-day run May 30-June 1 at the Vanderbilt Marriott Hotel and other locations around Music City USA.

One of the premier events of its type anywhere, the NSC brings active Hollywood screen writers, directors, producers, stars such as Mira Sorvino and Catherine Dent, as well as executives in various parts of the motion picture and television industry, to share knowledge and network with aspiring writers and filmmakers.

The NSC has been remarkably successful because of its position in the heart of Nashville’s multi-billion dollar music industry, enabling a cross-pollination of information and contacts between the motion picture and music businesses.

After this year’s event, Gary Haber, President of the NSC said, “This conference brings something very valuable to aspiring writers and filmmakers attending the event because they have an opportunity to get one-on-one with prominent writers, film agents, producers, lawyers, execs and managers; while the industry pros from out of town get to experience Nashville, some for the first time. They are exposed to its people, sights, history and musical talent. I think this is a winning event for everyone involved.”
